About LMI
​
The Center for Light-Matter Interaction is a new cross-faculty research center in Tel Aviv University, incorporating 17 research groups from various fields and disciplines of LMI science. Our aim is to promote excellent research and academic training in optical sciences in Tel Aviv University and to provide a unified platform for researchers and students to conduct collaborative, interdisciplinary research, using state-of-the-art equipment.

Summer School Programs
The program of the LMI summer school is a one week course aimed at advanced undergraduate and beginning gradate students considering to pursue optics in their advanced studies. The school gives a solid introduction to fundamentals of optics and lasers and covers topics in the frontier of current research.
The topics that will be covered:

•Advanced optical microscopy
•Optical particle manipulation
•Nonlinear optics
•Plasmonics and metamaterials
